After a particularly frustrating time putting items up on line, I was thinking that there must be an easier way to sell items online—one where the process was easy, the steps simple and in plain English, and where photos were easy to manage. But after looking and trying out the systems and software in the market, I couldn't find what I needed. So, I started Half Price Network to make that happen—for myself and for others.

We've now created a way to streamline the whole process—from identifying products for sale to putting them up on line.

Our secret is our proprietary system—we nicknamed it "HAL." HAL™ has a simple wizard-like entry process for recording items. But the system also tracks and controls the inventory and automates putting items up at auction (and other sales outlets).

HAL makes it easy for our Customers and our Listing Specialists to collect information on their products and to put those items out into the marketplace rapidly. The system does most of the work.

The HAL system works on computers and, coming in January 2007, the entry process will be available on camera phones and PDAs. Please check out HAL™ for more details.

Our Network

It also occurred to me that a great way to help others would be to create a network of interconnected links of buyers and sellers—one that would allow buyers to find the items they need for half the price, while at the same time allowing businesses to sell their surplus items in an efficient and profitable manner.

And make the whole experience smooth and personal.

With all of that in mind, I created HalfPrice.net with our mandate to bring you "half the price and twice the service" and also bring you an eCommerce experience like no other.
